Before You Book: Delhi’s Vehicle Age Rule
This is the one thing to settle before anything else, and most transporters will not raise it with you. Under National Green Tribunal orders in force across the NCR, diesel vehicles older than ten years and petrol vehicles older than fifteen cannot be registered or plied in Delhi. A car that is perfectly legal on a Telangana plate today may not be legal on a Delhi one.
We will still move the vehicle — that is your call, and plenty of people bring a car to Delhi to sell it outside the NCR or to keep it garaged. But check the registration date against that rule before you pay for 1,500 km of transport, because we would rather lose the booking than have you discover it at the Delhi RTO.
Hyderabad to Delhi Car Transport Charges 2026
Three things set the car transport cost on this lane: the size class of the vehicle, open versus enclosed carriage, and whether either address needs a smaller shuttle to reach the carrier. There is no seasonal surcharge northbound.
| Car type | Distance | Carrier | Estimated charges |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hatchback (Alto, i10, Swift) | ~1,500 km | Open | ₹7,500 – ₹10,500 |
| Sedan (City, Verna, Ciaz) | ~1,500 km | Open | ₹9,000 – ₹13,500 |
| SUV / MUV (Creta, XUV, Innova) | ~1,500 km | Open / Enclosed | ₹12,000 – ₹16,500 |
| Luxury (BMW, Mercedes, Audi) | ~1,500 km | Enclosed | ₹16,500 – ₹22,500 |
| Additional vehicle (each) | ~1,500 km | Open | from ₹6,000 |
The Climb Down From the Plateau
Ranges above are indicative and settle after a free survey. What does not vary much is the road. NH-44 from Hyderabad to Delhi is among the best-surfaced long corridors in the country, and the carrier holds a steady average through Nagpur, Jhansi and Agra.
The change of terrain matters more than the distance. The first leg comes off the Deccan plateau, and from Jhansi north it is flat plains driving. Carriers make better time on the second half than the first, which is why we quote a window rather than a date — four days if the run is clean, six if a pickup or delivery slot pushes the schedule.
Winter Fog Is the Only Real Delay Risk
From late December into January, the Agra–Delhi stretch takes dense morning fog, and highway visibility can drop to a few metres. Carriers do not run blind. A fog morning costs three to four hours, occasionally a full day.
We do not add a winter surcharge and we do not stop running. What we do is widen the quoted window in those weeks and tell you the day the truck leaves rather than promising an arrival hour. If your handover date in Delhi is fixed, book with a few days of slack in December and January — that is the honest advice, and it costs you nothing.
Pickup Anywhere in Hyderabad
Doorstep pickup covers Gachibowli, Madhapur, Kondapur, Kukatpally, Miyapur, Secunderabad, Begumpet, Banjara Hills, Uppal and LB Nagar, and the rest of the city on request. Where the lane or the basement will not take a full carrier, a single car carrier brings the vehicle out to the nearest accessible point at no extra charge.
Delivery Across Delhi and the NCR Belt
Door delivery covers Dwarka, Rohini, Saket, Vasant Kunj, Karol Bagh, Lajpat Nagar, Janakpuri and Pitampura in Delhi, and extends to Gurgaon, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. NCR delivery is often simpler than central Delhi, where old-city lanes and market parking make a 40-foot carrier impossible — there we hand over at an agreed open point nearby and drive the car the last stretch ourselves.
Open Deck or Enclosed for a Five-Day Run
Five days is long enough that the choice actually matters. The open carrier handles the overwhelming majority of vehicles on this route and the plains section is not especially dirty. The enclosed carrier is the right call for a car that will be photographed on arrival — a sale, an exhibition, a freshly restored classic — or for anything with paintwork you have recently paid for.
What 1,500 km Behind the Wheel Really Costs
| Driving it yourself | Approx cost |
|---|---|
| Fuel (~12 km/l, petrol) | ~₹13,100 |
| Highway tolls | ~₹2,600 |
| Three nights on the road | ~₹7,500 |
| 1,500 km of tyre, service and resale-value wear | real but unbilled |
| Self-drive total | ~₹23,200 + four days of your time |
At this distance the arithmetic stops being close. Car transport by road on a carrier costs roughly a third of the drive and returns four days to you.
Documents for the Journey
- RC copy of the vehicle
- Owner’s photo ID — Aadhaar, driving licence or passport
- Current insurance policy copy
- One spare key handed over at pickup
Originals stay with you; copies ride in the driver’s folder with the photographed condition report. The carrier crosses four states on this run, so complete paperwork in the folder is what keeps a routine checkpost stop routine.
Getting the Car Ready
- Quarter tank of fuel, no more
- Remove the FASTag, documents and anything loose from the cabin
- Photograph existing scratches yourself and match them to our condition report at pickup
- Disable aftermarket alarms — five days is a long time for a siren
- If the battery is more than three years old, expect to need a jump on arrival; a car sits idle for the whole transit
Moving Two Cars, or a Car With Your Household
Families relocating from Hyderabad to Delhi often move a car and a full house within the same fortnight. Those are two different vehicles and two different crews, but one coordinator can hold both dates together so the car does not land three days before anyone has the keys to the flat. Say so at enquiry and we will sequence them; a second car on the same carrier booking always costs less than a second booking.
Book Your Hyderabad to Delhi Car Transport
Model, both pin codes, and your preferred week — that is enough for a firm car transport quote on the call.
- Call or WhatsApp +91 9540160277 with the vehicle and both addresses
- Free survey and quote — deck type, dates and charges confirmed in writing
- Doorstep pickup in Hyderabad — condition report, loading, dispatch
- Delivery in Delhi or NCR — joint inspection against the photo file, keys handed back
The whole car relocation stays with one coordinator from enquiry to handover, and the car reaches Delhi without a kilometre of its own on the clock.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the charges for car transport from Hyderabad to Delhi?
₹7,500 for a hatchback up to ₹22,500 for a luxury car across the ~1,500 km route, depending on carrier type. Call +91 9540160277 for an exact quote.
How many days does car transport from Hyderabad to Delhi take?
Four to six days door to door via Nagpur, Jhansi and Agra. Four when the run is clean; six if a pickup or delivery slot pushes the schedule.
Can I bring an older car to Delhi?
Check the registration date first. NGT orders across the NCR bar diesel vehicles over ten years and petrol vehicles over fifteen from being registered or plied in Delhi. We will still transport it, but confirm the rule applies to your vehicle before paying for 1,500 km.
Does winter fog delay transport on this route?
It can. From late December into January the Agra–Delhi stretch takes dense morning fog and carriers do not run blind, costing three to four hours or occasionally a day. No surcharge, but book with a few days of slack in those weeks.
Do you deliver to Gurgaon and Noida as well as Delhi?
Yes. NCR delivery covers Gurgaon, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad, and is often easier than central Delhi, where old-city lanes cannot take a full carrier.
