What is the difference between basic, standard and premium packing?
Basic packing uses recycled cartons with single-layer wrapping — economical for non-fragile, short-distance moves. Standard packing uses new corrugated cartons with bubble wrap and suits most household relocations. Premium packing adds 5-layer protection (bubble + corrugated + thermocol + stretch film + carton) for fragile, high-value or long-distance moves with electronics, glassware and antiques. Are taxes and GST included in the calculator estimate?
The displayed estimate is exclusive of taxes. As per Indian law, 18% GST applies to the labour and transportation portion of a packers-and-movers bill, while packing materials are billed separately and may be GST-exempt. Is there a floor or lift surcharge in the estimate?
Yes. If a building has no working lift, a surcharge of roughly Rs 500-1,500 per additional floor above the ground floor may apply, since goods are carried manually. Buildings with a functioning service lift have no extra floor charge. A long carry distance (where the truck cannot park near the entrance) can add a small charge too — all of this is confirmed during the free survey.
